The Koma people were discovered in 1986 by local military officials, and have seen significant awareness and aid in many ways, however most of their new found aid has been granted through non-government organizations with little focus on long term affects. Real sustainable aid must be delivered in order for the Koma people to secure a foothold and obtain enduring growth, culturally, educationally and economically. Beginning with this group of people will allow Cultivate Humanity to construct a bond of trust, peace and acceptance among the many other people groups in the Northern States of Nigeria.
